How Aisle Advisor Makes Money
Transparency is not just a buzzword here. It is our entire business model.
The Short Version
Aisle Advisor is completely free for couples. We earn money when you click our partner links for services like wedding insurance, legal contract review, or event coverage. These partners pay us a referral fee. You never pay extra. And here is the part that matters: our partner relationships have zero connection to vendor reviews or scores. A vendor cannot pay us to change a review, boost a score, or hide a red flag. Period.
Why This Matters
Other wedding platforms make money from vendors. That creates a conflict: if your biggest customers are vendors, you have an incentive to keep vendors happy, even at couples' expense. We built Aisle Advisor specifically to avoid this. Our revenue comes from helping couples protect themselves, not from helping vendors look good.
What We Earn From (and What We Do Not)
We DO earn commissions from:
- ✓Wedding insurance referrals (when you click through to get a quote)
- ✓Legal service referrals (when you request a contract review)
- ✓Event liability insurance (when you purchase venue-required coverage)
- ✓Photo backup and preservation services
- ✓Financial and planning tools
We NEVER earn money from:
- ✗Vendor subscriptions that affect reviews
- ✗Paid review removal or suppression
- ✗Boosted search rankings for paying vendors
- ✗Advertising on vendor profile pages
- ✗Any arrangement that could influence what you read about a vendor
How We Choose Partners
We only partner with companies whose products genuinely help couples. Wedding insurance exists to protect your deposits. Legal review services exist to catch bad contract clauses before you sign. These are not random ads. They are recommendations that align with our mission to protect couples. If a partner ever compromises the experience for couples, we drop them. Our editorial independence is non-negotiable.

The Technical Firewall
Our affiliate system is architecturally separate from our review system. They run on different database tables with no connection between them. There is no mechanism, code path, or admin tool that allows affiliate status to influence vendor scores, review visibility, or search rankings. This is not just a policy. It is how the software is built.
